Wow! This pizza was delicious. At first, I was little upset at the size for the price, but I quickly realized how heavy each slice was! The cheese was perfectly salty and melty. The meatballs were flavorful and fresh. Pepperonis were crispy. The crust was not burnt tasting with chewy mouth feel- sometimes a tough feat with wood fired pizza. I do feel the sauce got a little lost with the flavor of the cheese and toppings but on its own, it was bright and fresh. This is a top pizza in Charlottesville.

Overpriced. The experience was ruined when I found a light brown/blondish human hair baked into the pizza while eating. We lost our appetite and had to throw the whole thing away. I tried to take a photo, but it’s hard to see clearly. None of our family has that hair color and we don’t have pets. It raised concerns about Lampo’s food safety practices and hair covering use.

I ordered a pizza and the toppings were only on half of it. I didn’t order it that way so that is disappointing

Ordered the Abruzzo (beef and pork meatballs, housemade mozzarella, san marzano tomato, pecorino, basil) and the Pepperoni (pepperoni, housemade mozzarella, san marzano tomato). Absolutely outstanding! The crust, the hardest part of making any pizza, was particularly well executed.

I recently tried Lampo2Go, a takeout-only pizza place. My experience was a mix of good and bad. I'm passionate about good food and more so a believer in the seemingly dying commitment to good service, so I wanted to share my thoughts on this experience. I'll be polite and honest to help both the restaurant and future customers. Food Quality: The best thing I tried was the panouzzi polpettini. It looked great and tasted good, but it wasn't hot. This made a big difference because the cheese didn't melt, and the flavors weren't as strong as they could have been. It was disappointing because it could have been much better. Service: The staff were friendly, but they forgot to give me napkins. This might seem small, but it shows that they weren't paying attention to details. I didn't say anything because I thought they should know to give napkins without being told. Price: The sandwich cost over $18, which is a lot. I expected something great, but it wasn't worth the cost. The idea of Lampo2Go is interesting, but the food and service need to be better for the price. Overall, Lampo2Go has potential, but it needs to improve. The idea of a takeout-only place is cool, but they need to ma
